FLUX NIGHT 2013
Saturday, October 5 7 pm to midnight
Castleberry Hill Arts District
Soliloquy is a projected video that is composed of echo scenes from films. By combining like scenes in which lone figures call out for a response but only get their own voice in return, the video presents an endless internal dialogue. Thinking about conversation as an integral component to any creative process, the video explores the dialogues that occur between makers, performers, and viewers. Projected against the city of Atlanta, Soliloquy juxtaposes real and represented locations and considers the multiple and shifting influences that create a sense of place.
